Just recently purchased a used 6 cd changer off of ebay and I was able to get the factory cable as well, which I ran last night. Unfortunately it appears I'm going to have to cut out part of my rear panel for the changer to fit. Not really a big deal, but I have seen a few posts regarding this on other forums that mention a template for the cuts. Does anyone happen to have a copy of this they can scan or know where I can find the template in pdf format or something that I can print out and use? I want the cut to be as neat as possible since I don't have the factory "bezel" which would help cover any "oops" I may have. Also, does anyone know what type of hardware is used to attach the changer? I have the holes, but the nutserts/whatever are needed were not already sitting there. |

Still striking out, there MUST be someone out there with the template scanned. Unfortunately I've yet to find/hear from them. I know I could just "eyeball" it but the German heritage is keeping that impulse stifled for the time being. |

assuming this is a KJ, can I ask why you didn't look for the in-dash 6-disc unit? |

Thanks for the replies, guys. The reason that I didn't look for the rbq is that I have an RB1. I really like it but having to keep the disc in the unit to use items unless I want to listen to the radio, I needed the external changer. Really if I could find a way to get Bluetooth streaming setup so i could just serve from my iphone that would be even better, but I couldn't find an add on that would work with the RB1. |

I can tell you the RBQ and RB1 are definitely picky about devices plugged into their "extra" port, from experience. I hear ya on the RB1 disc problem. it's part of what's kept me from putting one in the wife's car. I'm working on an alternate for the jeep at the moment. |
