So I was wanting to install some Tritons V3 led bulbs in my taillight but I am going to have to hardwire them into my factory pigtail. I am a total noob at this so before I start doing anything I wanted to ask questions here first. For reference I've attached the lamp pinout that infernicus posted in his led taillight thread. Would I just cut off the stock plug and then hardwire the tritons to the cav 5 ground? For the blinker use the wire that was in cav 6, reverse cav 4, and the brake/parking light use cav 2 for low output and cav 3 for high output? Why does the turn signal also have a contact for the brakes? Am I totally wrong or is there a better way to do this? If I can figure this out I'll probably add the fourth bulb that is the fog light on e-spec models as an additional parking/brake light.
