Post subject:  Intermittent interior lights, flickering

It happens intermittently (not every time) and will stay on for 1/2 - 3 seconds only while the turn signal stalk is down (i.e. indicating left). This is all interior lights. Even the dash light level increases to full.

FWIW I do have some rust around my 3rd brake light.

Please chime in if you have experienced this and what you did to fix it.

Also noticed that the dash shows intermittent levels of light too.

The light intensity adjuster is kinda flaky. ie. twist to make it brighter/dimmer and it seems to do whatever it wants.

Ebay has plenty of multi function switches, they are around US$80 shipped. Make sure to check that it includes the foglight 'switch' if you have fogs.

Very easy to replace: two torx screws, pull out unit, put back in.

The unit includes both stalks (left and right side), so it gets replaced all together.
