The reason for this is your LED bulbs do not provide enough resistance to make the flasher blink at the normal slow rate. LEDs don't use much power and don't put enough current draw (resistance) across the terminals of your turn signal/brake light. You must add some high wattage 20-50 ohm resistors to make things blink normal again.
A very good article with wiring schematics:
http://www.plasmaled.com/tail_light_led_bulb_fix.htm

Resistors like these in the picture are available on the web at many locations, just do a search for "LED Load Resistors for LED Turn Signal Lights"

So their diagram is confusing..
Does the resistor just go on ground or to both ground and hot... The line they have is non specific.
Don't really want to burn up my new LEDs.
Thanks much of the help.

I preformed the flasher modification that is posted over on kjcountry...worked for me...

The resistors should be wired between the hot wire feeding the bulb socket and the ground wire leaving the bulb socket. Since the Jeep turn signals are separate from the brake lights, it is simple. The resistor simply adds resistance to the LED bulb to make the body computer think the OEM bulb is still in place.... This has to be done at each location where an LED turn signal bulb is being used. It is not required on any of the other circuits since they do not flash when energized, brakes, running lights, etc...

I also did the flasher mod and it worked for the LED signals that came with my ARB bumper. You just need one resistor off eBay or Amazon and then a soldering iron and about 30 minutes of time.

So one resist per side into the red... hot wire only correct?

Yes, and the other end of the resistor connected to the ground wire....

I was in the same boat with my bumper, putting a resistor in the hazard switch fixed my issue for all the lights. Converted all bulbs to LED after installing this mod.

Info on the steps I fallowed and result here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=77241&p=904443&hilit=LED+turn#p904443

Found the recommended 0.1 ohm 3 watt resistors here:
https://www.westfloridacomponents.com/m ... creen=SRCH

I just ordered a couple of the resistors (one for backup) and plan to mod the flasher switch module as described and covered in the post and change all turn signal bulbs to LEDs...

Many thanks to the OP who figured out how to do this!!!!

Just adding a quick comment to this: I also went with a 0.1Ω resistor initially, but ended up replacing it with a 0.5Ω item. Details as to why can be found here.
