Hi All,

I do a lot of camping and am sick of the poor lighting in the whole car, so I got 2 SMD LED's specifically these

http://www.jaycar.com.au/Automotive-%26-Mobile-Security/Car-Safety-Products/Lighting/Universal-T10-211-BA9S-LED-Retrofit-Kit-with-36x-SMD-LEDs/p/ZD0589

for the trunk and middle festoon style lights and then got a 4 of these

http://www.jaycar.com.au/Automotive-%26-Mobile-Security/Car-Safety-Products/Lighting/T10-Wedge-Replacement-LED-QUAD-Globe-%28White%29/p/ZD0394

for the map/overhead/EVIC unit lights and the foot well courtesy lights.

Plugged them all in and they worked fine except when the engine was running the extra voltage produced by the alternator was enough to keep the lights on very dim, even when manually turned off on the indicator stalk. This didn't bother me until I drove home at night.

I have changed nothing, but now nothing works unless I manually press the lights to turn them on. Opening the door won't make them turn on, turning the light on using the indicator stalk won't work etc... And the rear/trunk light won't turn ever, even with manually pressing it nothing happens.

Can anyone shed any light (pun intended) on the subject?

Do I need a resistor or 2 somewhere? and where would that need to be? I'm thinking I'll need around an 8ohm 10w resistor on the first light in the circuit from the BCM. Or I'll need a 5ohm 10w resistor on the first and last lights in the circuit. But I honestly have no idea how its wired up and have found it difficult to get an accurate wiring diagram so those are just wild assumptions

But when it was all working... WOW! It was great! Please help... its driving me crazy!

Thanks!
