I have a 2006 Liberty crd that has been having tons of weird electrical problems.
-interior lights stay on at all times, even hours after engine is shut off, or they flicker or sometimes won't turn on at all
-front wipers don't work at all
-rear wiper comes on by itself randomly
-jeep chimes and displays message on evic saying rear gate is open when it is clearly closed

I have already ruled out the multifunction switch and the sensors and wiring in the tailgate. Could this be a bad bcm?

It could be, I don't want to say yes or no. If you do end up replacing it, make sure you get one that has the exact same part numbers as what's on your current one. Oh and change out the keyless entry do dad on it before you install it. Just swap your current one over to the new one. Otherwise the jeep will freak out like crazy. Lastly.. They are a super pain to replace. Just do to being so cramped under the dash.

Im brand new to the lost jeep site, i have a 2006 jeberty CRD and while i was installing a double din dvd player and turbo boost gauge i drilled a hole through the firewall to run the boost hose and ran the bit through the wire harness under the break booster, i fixed all the wites i messed up now im having a few problems that didn't exist before my F up. Break lights are out turn signals are out hazards are out interior lights are out, door locks only work when ignition is on , the key unlock lock isnt working and my back glass latch wont unlock but the gate works. I know i messed something up i have been through all fuses on the pannel and under the hood , are there any more fuses and does it sound like i messed up the Body Control Module?

'06 doesn't have an individual BCM IIRC it's integrated with the power distribution block.

The 2006 LHD CRD has a known problem with the wire harness that goes behind the Fuel Filter Head Mounting Bracket can get damaged in that area causing random chaffing of wires to the chassis and causing all sorts of problems.

Remove the Mounting Bracket and have a good look at the wiring that goes behind it to check for any chaffing/damage.

If no problem here, check the battery connections, connection of negative battery lead to chassis, connection of Grounding Strap from engine to chassis are all clean and tight.

I think it is best to post problems like this in the CRD section......most people only come here for problems like Sound System Upgrade problems.
