I installed my cobra all in the handle(i can't remeber the number) and made my own mount but I need my ant. tuned but I also have lots of static from the engine. I used an add a fuse to power it what kind of noise filter and I get to help cut the static down? Thanks for any advice. My local jeep jam is in 8 days and I need to get this to work.

I had the same setup until recently and had no static at all. You might want to double check your ground (if its a painted surface you'll need to sand/scrape the paint till all you see is raw metal).

Make sure your mount/antenna is correctly installed too.



The placement and orientation of the washers is critical (slight lip on them facing into the hole of the mount)
