I've done a bunch of searching but am having a hard time finding an answer on this one. I may be installing an aftermarket HU (head unit) but would like to retain my steering controls. Crutchfield says their unit/adapter/whatever only works for 05 and under, and not for my '06.

Can someone tell me what the diff is between the '06 and '05?

I checked the schematic for the steering wheel controls for both 05 and 06 and they're identical. So unless the resistor values are different for the buttons, which is unlikely, it should work fine. They probably just haven't tested it for 06's yet.
