Post subject:  Rig of the Month Schedule - 2005

OK folks, here is the promised schedule for the rest of the year for our RotM contest. I`ll post a brief explanation of each one to explain what is to be expected and if you have any Q`s, just ask. For the pics, just be a little creative.

Hope you like the ides. :)

Mike

September: Mud - Pics of your Jeep in mud, full of mud, etc. The more mud, the better! I don`t want to see a pic of just a little mud sprayed up from the wheels now! ;)

October: Fall foliage - Self explanatory... Pic of your Jeep with at least a few trees with fall colored leaves.

November: Rocks - A pic of your Jeep on Rocks, crawling, rolling (Uh, I hope not...), etc. This is not for a pic of your Jeep on a gravel road. Real rocks here!

December: Christmas Scene - This one is really a good one to use your imagination. Your pic must have something "Christmas" in it (Just snow doesn`t count). You could be in front of a Christmas Tree or maybe with a Christmas Wreath and/or lights on it. Be creative!

Light Khaki Jeeps won't do well with the mud pictures since they blend in fairly well. Those black, blue, and white KJ's should shine well with mud.

Nanette, gotta move. :P

TJ, the KJ doesn`t necessarily have to be covered in mud. In mud, by mud, etc. Just be creative if needed. For example, you could be in a mud puddle in front of a very scenic view. Anything with mud in it.

How about a Medley month ...

Something like a mud-wrestling Santa driving a Liberty while clothed in fig leaves, crawling over rocks. Then that picture could be submitted in any one of those months :D

Good point....our friends "down under" the Equator wouldn't be able to participate with new pictures for this first Fall contest.

Sorry, but no. Fall is the theme so Fall is it. There may be times when some may not be able to enter a given month but that`s rounded by the fact that there will be many months where everyone will be able to enter during the course of the year.:)

Denver has it's four seasons: Sunshine, Sunshine, Sunshine, and Sunshine with Snow.

300 days of sunshine/year and 6" of snow on a winter morning is all melted by afternoon. Interesting phenomenon.

You can't forget in the fall, the daily 3:30PM thunderstorms that are cleared up by 6pm. I also seem to remember 3" of snow in July '03.

I thought the major seasons in Denver were Construction in Sunshine, Construction in Rain, and Snow  I remember going to Denver one year to visit a friend. One day its beautiful, 75 degrees; next day we woke up to 6 inches of snow in his front yard (guess which day I had to drive home?).
