Well folks, we finally got things sorted out and will be picking up ROTM starting June 1st. The topic for the month will be 'Jeeping with your pets', so dig out those photos of you four-legged Jeep buddies and post them up. I'll have the post up by midnight PDT on the 1st (early Sunday morning for those of you further east, late Sunday night for our friends down under).

Rules for the contestare the same as Burchie posted earlier, so please take a few minutes to look them over and refresh your memories. In particular please pay attention to the

800 x 600 pixel

image size rule, since it is going to remain in effect.

The schedule for the rest of the year will probably be the same as last year so this is how the year looks for now:

Red: Theme is permanent and staying in that month.
Blue: Theme is permanent but open to moving if wanted
Black: Open for possible change

June: Jeepin` with your Pet - The only requirement is that your pet is in the pic with your Jeep!

July: Patriotic - Use your creativity and imagination and post a pic with your jeep that in some way shows your patriotic spirit!

August: Beachin` - A pic of your Jeep on the Beach.

September: Me and My Jeep - A pic with you and your Jeep anywhere (You must be clearly viewable)

October : Halloween - Pic of your Jeep in a halloween themed setting. The more creative and spookier, the better!

November : Fall Foliage - Pic of your Jeep with some awesome fall scenery. Some of the best scenery pics come out of this contest!

December : Xmas/Holiday Theme - A pic with your Jeep and anything Xmas/Holiday themed. A great opportunity to show off your creativity and holiday spirit!

So with that, lets look forward to more fun right her in the 'Rig Of The Month' section

Where do we submit our pic? Here? When does the June contest begin? Are we starting with July because June is already here?

Submit your pics in the June ROTM thread right now! We are starting out with June, I started the thread back on Saturday night/Sunday morning but apparently everyone has gotten out of the habit of looking for it. I'll do a post over in the General Discussion forum to direct people this way.

I don't think it's that so much as people tend to key on certain sections on the forum, and since the ROTM stuff has been idle for a few months they may just not recognize it when it pops up. IIRC Pete (raceinfan) used to have to put up reminder posts in other sections to call attention to the ROTM contest. Slowly but steadily folks will come around

I have a question in August its Beachin, well what if you dont live by the beach? or is it just supposed to be water?

Beach = any transition from dirt/sand to water. Doesn't matter if it's the ocean or your nearby reservoir, if it has water in it and you can drive your Jeep up to it (or even into it) then it still counts. See the first photo post fromlast Augusts' ROTM for an example
