So lets kick off the new with with one of my favorite categories!!!! Oops - situations you REALLY didn't want to happen such as Carnage/Recovery Situations Otherwise known as OH   So lets get started. Just in case you haven't read the rules, we are now allowing 14 spots  Again, here are the Rules Lets have a GREAT YEAR!!!!!!!

 ^^^3rd times charm on Chinamans Gulch trail,One bust outer CV,never found the balls,and watching RL dive out of the way of the flying grease was priceless   ^^^ The event location,the pic does no justice^^^ |

Poor pictures, but a cool "Oops" none-the-less. Mike took his KJ down a steep hill with only ATs and kept losing traction on the way back up. I got a chance to use my hitch mounted winch from the rear while the front was tied off to a tree.

There's about a 5' deep mud/water hole in front of the kj and about 10' of real estate behind the kj to work with... both front tires were dangling over the water pit, and the rear tires were both stuck in a slick rut... That was an interesting afternoon getting out of that mess   At the cliffs... FL Wheel is buried ( they are 36" swampers ), drag link/steering got bent to hell while trying to recover, then the overheating started...

I love this contest. My "stuck" doesn't compare to any of these... but fun to see others stuck (and get out). Keep going! PS: Fulltimer! Thank you for being one of the first I have ever seen to NOT mount their baskets all the way back. It just looks silly. Forward thinking, for sure  :

 Not all that carnage-y, but still a pretty dramatic rip in bugnout's MTR after only one muddy hill. Really sharp Tennessee mud <edit> Quick, Scott, repost this as your own! I forgot I can't post pictures of someone else's jeep  </edit>

So there was this puddle, right? Full steam ahead, but it was just too deep. I opened my door to about 1/2'' of clearance from the swamp. So, naturally, I reversed outta there. My buddy declared his 7.3L F250 FX4 could handle it, but he just ended up sinking his 7,000lb truck.  So I pulled him out.  Let it be known that a 4,000lb 3.7L just pulled out a 7500lb 7.3L unassisted. JEEP! |
