OK, Sorry, I hate to do this but, I hereby withdraw my entry!

My mod is not complete yet, so I feel it wouldn't be fair to me going against all you guys with the cool homemade bumpers, racks, tirecarriers, winchmounts, stripped and Line-X'ed interiors or any other crazy stuff we Jeepers always seem to come up with! :lol:

Maybe next time this comes around! ...... Besides, .... everybody already knows how crazy my mod is!!!! :ROTFL:

perhaps should have said craziest mod for under x amount of dollars to rule out engine swaps and SFA's which in their own rights, deserve to win all prizes

Ok Larry here goes. Not sure how crazy it is but I have not seen anyone else make one. I made a Gerry can holder for the back of the kj. Nobody makes anything for it without spending big bucks on a bumper. It is kinda ugly and I plan on redoing it (to make it look better) this winter as it passed the offroad test in moab last spring. I think I spent about 30 bucks on it and used up some steel I saved from tearing out a old elevator. It hinges out of the way for the tailgate just by taking a T handle bolt out. And the whole thing comes off in a few min.

I believe I was the first KK to cut the stock bumper for the Detours Backbone. Someone mentioned I was crazy for cutting on a new vehicle. :lol:

BTW, this is me stuck on a tree, underwater, in a swampy creek.

Speaking of cutting...

I had to hack some wires on the ECU to install the SEGR kit. It was a very nervousing task....

You can see here all the wires that were cut and connected to the SEGR kit.

This one is just for fun. I added some "nipples" to the battery.

nothing real crazy but some firsts before any other KJ owner
So here goes nothing as always...
First to cut the bottom off the stock rear bumper

or maybe it should of been the first to drill one inch holes in the door handles after seeing the Liberator
or first to use a street sign for a front skid to keep dirt out of the engine skid
or
cutting holes in the hood for louvers

Heres my KJ. Its a 2004 Jeep Liberty 4x4 Sport 3.7 engine.

Craziest mod= ANGRY EYELIDS

MODIFICATIONS:

eyelids, STICKERS: Assassins Creed Logo, KJ, and "Back Off", (black and metallic) "LIBERTY" across windshield, black and yellow KC sticker, Black altezza taillights, Smoked out signal lights, KC 100 watt lights. w/KC black and white covers, MB Motoring Black and Machine wheels, HANKOOK offroading tires, Black Jeep "T" bra, Window Ventvisors, Go RHINO 3000 series center guard, fog lights, 3rd brake light cover, Hood repainted b/c was oxidized, SKYJACKER 2.5" Suspension Kit
