Welcome everyone to our very first L.O.S.T. RotM (Rig of the Month) contest! We are excited to get this new contest started and hope every one of you enjoy this.

We will theme this each month meaning we will have different themes per contest. For example: We may have a "Mountain" contest one month so only pics of Jeeps in/by/on a Mountain are allowed. Another month we may do "Woodland" month meaning only Jeeps in any type of woodland scenery pics are allowed. Just use your creativity and imagination. The themes will vary and if you have a suggestion, by all means pm me! All input is appreciated.

This months theme will be "Water". Only pics of Jeeps going through, over, stuck in, under (under...I hope not!!!;)), etc. are allowed. As I stated above, just use your creativity and/or imagination. Stock or lifted, everyone is allowed to enter this one. Any pics, old or new, can be used. Rain is not allowed for this months theme.

Cool news: The "LOST" KJ West club will donate one of the new "LOST" KJS.com t-shirts to the winner! Thanks guys!

Remember: This is RIG of the month, NOT Friend of the month. Vote for the best pic/rig in conjunction with the theme of that month, not your friend. Lets pick winners that really show off a great jeep in a cool location bone stock or modded it really does not matter. 8)

Thanks and good luck everyone!

Mike

The Rules

• L.O.S.T. members only! You must be a registered member of this site to enter the contest.

• Only Jeeps allowed! - We have some members that don`t have a KJ so we`ll allow the other Jeep bretheren. You must be the owner of the Jeep. (We`ll test these waters. ;))

• No Links allowed - You must post a pic in the thread (instructions below). You may "name" or even describe your pic (keep it brief please!).

• No computer enhancemants - Pic must be unaltered. No exceptions in any way. Au natural photo...

Please keep the size of the pics to no larger than 640 x 480!

• 1 winner per year - You can only win one month per year. No exceptions. That means you may not enter again, even if you have another Jeep, if you win. January 2006 will be the start over.

• If you do not win, you may enter in other months contests and also can use the same pics if it fits into the theme of the current month. Again, January 2006 will be the start over.

• You can only vote once (even if it is your rig) and no family members are allowed to vote in addition. This is strictly a member rig vote (meaning you can`t get the wife/husband, kids, aunt/uncle, friends, etc. to vote. 1 vote per "rig family" allowed. Remember, honesty is the best policy!).

• If any entrant is found to have cheated in any way, they will be disqualified immediately. We will be checking IP`s, etc. I reserve the right to disqualify any pic/person at my discretion.

All "deadlines" are at midnight EST (GMT -4) of that day.

• No more than 2 pics!

Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie(s), we will give the adjudication of the tied members rigs to Clint (skrracing). His vote would be the tiebreaking vote to determine the winner. He will decide the winner randomly.

The Deal

What you do is, if you are interested in entering, you post your pic(s) in this ROTM thread. When posting your pic, please provide details of your KJ like vehicle year, modifications, etc. if you like. We will give everyone 2 weeks (the first 14 days of the month) to submit your entry. On the 15th, we will end submissions and make a post over in the poll forum (If we get the limit of 10 rigs before the 14th, I`ll start it sooner). We then have the last 2+ weeks (to the last day of the month) for everyone to vote. On the 1st of each month, the winner will be announced!.

So, good luck! Have fun and may the best rig win!

Mike

How to post a pic

• Have a picture hosted on a site (i.e. CarDomain, Webshots, etc.).

• Right click on the picture (first click the pic to enlarge if you are using a CarDomain pic)

• Click on "Properties".

• Copy and paste the whole "location" (ends in ".jpg" for example)

• Come to this thread and Click "Post Reply"

• Click "Img" at the top, paste the Address you c&p`ed, and click "Img" again. Make sure there is a at the end of the addy

• Then fill your info below and click "Submit"

• Then drool over the other pics of the sweet rigs and wait for voting!:D

This is from my spring trip to GWNF. I was a rainy weekend and we did a lot of water crossings. This is proabably the best of the water crossing pictures as it show the entire jeep.
Image

This is the wallpaper I have set on my computer. It is my favorite pic that was taken that weekend and took several attempts to get it just right.

Does "frozen" water count?
Image

How about water "behind"?

Image

Just an idea....

One of my other groups did a yearly calendar with submitted pics. 1 large pic and a couple smaller ones per month. Sold it and used the profits to benefit the site............

Its about that time to start working on a 2006 one now. or do one of those 14 month jobbies starting w/November... Could be a way to get some moola working. I'd buy one!

The pic posted must be by the owner of the Jeep in the pic. Doesn`t matter who took the pic as long as you post it and it is your Jeep. We all have pics of our jeeps from one source or another. Heck, if you are trailriding or just driving on the beach, you can always stop and get out and take a pic. ;)

As for Annette`s pic above, I will allow it to be entered as long as she comes on and posts her approval. I would then have her name on the Ballot.

[Judges Hammer bangs]

Mike

p.s. The "We`ll test these waters" is in reference to having any Jeeps allowed as to just KJ`s.

Here's my best water crossing pic thus far. From the LOST April Fool's Run.

By the way, if I don't win this month, can I still enter again next month? Or am I out for the rest of the year?

Go Here and cast your vote!

Mike

p.s. As per Clint`s suggestion, I deleted most of the posts to make it easier to catch all the pics.

Gkidesign...You must resize these poicture or the votes will not count.. it is only fair to everyone that the pictures are all the same size. Thanks in advance for getting this done.

I haven`t put a list together yet, but when I get home after the weekend (I`m up at Paragon at the FFI), I`ll get a list together for the rest of the year and post it. Sound cool?

That's an awesome photo. Too bad you're too late for any more submissions. :( Haven't been down there yet, maybe I'll try to make it after I get back.
