Mine shifts at both as it appears both overdrives are the two top gears. I have a shift at 52-53mph and again at 62-63mph. I have had the F37 recall done. But, I had two distinct shift points prior to the reflash that were very close to these.

Mine doesn't show F37 on the jeep site either. My BD is 01-2006.

It's locked in the highest two gears with O/D engaged and in 3rd with O/D off.

Mine goes into 4th with immediate lockup at 50mph and 5th with immediate lockup at 58.

This is from the service manual

TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH (TCC)
In a standard torque converter, the impeller and turbine
are rotating at about the same speed and the
stator is freewheeling, providing no torque multiplication.
By applying the turbine’s piston and friction material
to the front cover, a total converter engagement
can be obtained. The result of this engagement is a
direct 1:1 mechanical link between the engine and the
transmission.
The clutch can be engaged in second, third, fourth,
and fifth gear ranges depending on overdrive control
switch position. If the overdrive control switch is in the
normal ON position, the clutch will engage after the
shift to fourth gear, and above approximately 72 km/h
(45 mph). If the control switch is in the OFF position,
the clutch will engage after the shift to third gear, at approximately 56 km/h (35 mph) at light throttle.

I would like to have that shift and lockup at 72kph. Mine goes into 4th at about 86kph and 5th at 103kph (approx 62mph ) The poll shows that most shift at this higher speed and some indicate that the F37 changes it to the lower (and better) speed. What gives?

So, do I have it right that it'll lock up in 4th & 5th w/OD on and 2nd & 3rd w/OD off? I think this jives with what I've seen.

The shift to 4th occurs at ~36 mph (~58 kph) & then the TC locks up at ~53 mph (or ~85 kph), but I don't know why it differs from the manual. The shift to 5th happens at 62-63 mph.

Almost. You can have TC clutch lock-up in 3rd gear regardless if OD is in lock-out (this is the funky upshift you might feel @ 35 mph). It will go into lock-up when you slow your rate of acceleration. Once it is in lock-up, it will usually stay in lock-up (even if you are still upshifting).

I just got mine back today from the F37 recall. Shift points are the same, upshifts 3 to 4 at 50 mph, upshifts 4 to 5 at 62 mph. In cruise control, will hold 5th gear down to 55mph (@ 1700 rpm) where it downshifts 5 to 4. Once it downshifts, you have to accelerate back 62 to get it to upshift again. They replaced the torque converter, pump & cooler assy, and reflashed the ECM only (TCM already had the latest software from F31 recall). Runs strong and shifts much smoother than it ever did.

Mine shifts into 5th at around 62 MPH. Same as before. MPG does seem to have gone up some.

My shift points after F37 seem to be the same across the board.
