Every trip, every time, the very first first-to-second shift causes a big hiccup/ stumble from the engine if its cold. No power, no acceleration, nada. Then it picks itself up and runs like a champ. Doesn't matter if its 30 degrees or 90, and the jeep lives in a garage anyway so its not subject to really cold temps. Amount of warm-up doesn't seem to impact it either. Anyone else have this? No codes on the odometer check.

Other then that and marginally disappointing MPG, we are really happy with our CRD.

Mine does this too. But it's actually two conditions.

1.) When I first head out for work in the mornings, as I round the first corner and apply the throttle the engine will stumble for a split second and then pick itself back up again. After that it runs fine the rest of the day.

2.) Then after that, the first 2-3 shift my transmission makes is a hard shift and jerks the vehicle a bit. After that, it also is fine and works great the rest of the day.

Both of these problems, however, are ones that no dealership would be able to do anything about because they certainly would "not be able to find anything wrong", and it seems that Chrysler wants the Jeep actually dead on the highway with broken parts before they'll honor any warranty work these days.

Well said Liberty CRD. The dealer I bought at is aware but does not have the ability to fix it. I live with it. Don

Did you have any error codes? Did you see an MPG change with the TSB?

Thanks

Unfortunely the EGR went prior to the TBS. But even with the bad EGR the morning after the flash I know the Jeep ran differant.
