Hi,
I have an 06 Liberty with about 80K miles on it. It started acting funny about 2 months ago--nothing too dramatic, just smoke and running a little rough at higher speeds (75mph+). Now the Jeep will start cold just fine, but after it's been running more than 10 minutes it won't start back up. The engine cranks, but it won't fire at all. No lights, and no codes found by my usual mechanic or the dealer. It sounds just like this guy's jeep.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWtsMls--bIThe camshaft sensor and lift pump were recently replaced, but the problem came back after another month of driving. I have cleaned the MAP and MAF sensors. The only other thing out of the ordinary is a metalic clacking noise that you can hear during lower rpms that's been there for about 30K miles. Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks!
