I have access to a plastic welding wizard. He is interested in doing a prototype repair on one of our ICs.

Anyone have a cracked one to donate to the project?

Thanks!

I am surprised that not a single person has wanted to get their cracked IC repaired for free. Maybe we will have better luck this time.

My cooler was leaking on the aluminium part. Epoxy was used to seal the leak.
With the amount of oil inside this cooler and the contamination within the crack I could only imagine how difficult welding aluminum would be. Maybe plastic is easier not to mention the pressure.
