I replaced the turbo to intercooler hose that had a rip in it today, with Samco hoses. When I tightening the t-bolt clamps I noticed they seem a tad too big. I used the smallest of the four that I got in the kit 2 1/2" #10 metric nuts went on easy. but tightened both all the way to stop. When I get courage and time next month I plan to tackle the weeks delete and the other hose.

Does anyone else think that they could be a little smaller so they could tighten a bit more?

It's possible that you might run across that due to hoses of different thicknesses, but they are available in pretty much every size, and carried by pretty much any auto or truck parts outlets.

Simply stack some 1/4" or 6mm washers on the stud if you want them to be tighten up more!
Both are available at most hardware stores.
But be very careful, the fitting on the CAC (intercooler) is plastic....to much pressure and it can break or collapse, and CAC's are VERY EXPENSIVE!

Some hints and tricks on hose install.
clean connection contact surfaces and inside hose connection contact surfaces real good with alcohol or brake cleaner. Make sure there is NO oil residue on either the contact surfaces before installing hoses.
you can also put a little spray glue or womans hairspray on the contact surfaces to ensure tackiness which will help increase holding power....

WWdiesel, I thought of the stainless washers on the way back home today. so far they are holding. I didn't tighten enough to break the Intercooler for sure. Going 180 miles tomorrow I have a few 1/4 stainless extra from a marine project. also, bring the #10 wrench just in case. I will probably add one washer at a time.

GordnadoCRD, I did think the Samco hoses have a thinner wall.
Thanks
