Need to replace front struts. With 254K miles, I am just looking for something that will be good for another 100K. No lift required - just trying to steady things up and help with tire wear (tires to be replaced soon after this). No big off-roading plans either. Right height is now ~17.5" center of hub to fender (front and back) so I am looking for whole strut assemblies and make this as easy as possible. Seems like the choices are few. What I see so far:
- PRT 816226/5
- Monroe 271577L/R
- FCS 2336329L/R
- Duralast L533-81081L/R

Any thoughts on the above? Are there any other recommended choices that won't break the bank? :)
Thank you.

Thanks WWDiesel. Are there any known full strut assemblies that include these Bilstein B6's?

Not to my knowledge, but most any shop with a spring compressor will be glad to swap them out for you.
Only takes about 15 or 20 minutes per strut if you have them off the vehicle.
Where are you located?

Continuing to do homework on this, I found a great website that showed many vehicle spec options based on the VIN: http://www.free-vin-decoder.com/. For my 2006, it showed each of the 4 suspension spring groups (zxx) that are paired with Mopar part numbers on most Mopar part websites. For my 2006 Sport 4x4 CRD, these are the Mopar spring numbers based upon the decoded VIN z groups:
- Front L 52128880AA (zck) <-- discontinued
- Front R 52128879AB (zrj)
- Rear L/R 52128870AA (zcu,zru)
I was not expecting to see different front left and right springs -- perhaps it is due to the extra weight of the 4WD transfer case, front differential, and battery on the driver's side? The Front L spring shows as discontinued so it looks like going stock is not a viable option FWIW.
