HI all,

I've completed this modification, and it seems to work very well so far. A simple explanation is that I welded a bung in my Weeks intake, put the screw-in heating element in it, and did the wiring per WW's provided pictures. I have, so far, stayed with my original battery (an Optima group 34 red top). I tested various lengths of switch engagement, and approx 30 secs of on seems to do the trick for now. The real test is when it gets cold (for us, anyways...) in Jan and Feb. I'll try to update this thread after we have some really cold weather.

MANY thanks again WW for the help!

Steve

I've got some pictures of my install, but can't figure out how to show them (even after reading some FAQs). can anybody steer me along on this?

First you must post (upload) your pictures to one of the free picture sharing/hosting web sites like Postimages or one of the others listed below.
Once you have your pictures uploaded to one of the websites, you can copy the sharing link to the picture and post it on LOSTJeeps Forum using the "Img" button above.

Example:

I personally use Postimages:> https://postimages.org/
Postimage was established in 2004 to furnish message sheets with a simple method to upload images for free.
Postimage is an exceptionally basic, quick and solid free picture service.

DO NOT USE PHOTOBUCKET!!! It caused a lot of people serious problems a few years ago when they suddenly started blackmailing accounts for money! :furious: :furious: :furious:
