I'd have done this if they were available but it's all back together now. :goink:

So, curiosity got the better of me. I called Manley today, and was told they have over a hundred of the blank valve 11265-8 in stock in NJ. This is the part we are waiting for, right?

definitely valves need to be replaced as these engines are getting older. recently I purchased a used engine/transmission etc. and I took it all apart to inspect I noticed when I removed the cylinder head #2 the exhaust valve was sticking. when I hit it with a hammer I noticed it sounded different and did not return as quickly as others. that tells me the EGR gums it up pretty good but luckily it didn't break. I will take it to a machine shop for further inspection so I can have a spare healthy cylinder head.

The exhaust valve could be sticking because of the accumulated pollutants from the EGR, but it could also be sticking because the cylinder head is warped there. When you take the cylinder head to the machine shop to inspect it, have them specifically inspect the valve guides for wear and for how straight/true they are.

If a cylinder head is going to warp, the area around the exhaust ports is going to be the first place that this happens as this is the area of the engine that experiences the greatest amount of temperature extremes.

rankom, do you warm up your engine appropriately before putting a load on it? Have you considered using a diesel fueled engine coolant heater to pre-warm your engine before even cranking it to start? Using this coolant heater will accomplish pre-heating your engine for you as they are about 12.5 times the power of the CRD engine's block heater. They also drastically cut down on your idle time, accumulation of pollutants in your engine and fouling of your engine oil.

Without writing a essay of everything that has happen here is a short update. Neil from the New Jersey office has been jerking me around. Manley has 300+ pieces of the valve blank with 187 in production. Plenty left. Called the CA office. Communicating with a sales rep.

So what is the process people need to use to go about ordering some of these Manley valves?
Are there a certain contact phone number members should call to order a set of 8 exhaust valves?
And have you heard any current pricing for the custom Manley exhaust valves lately?
Is there a certain part number or custom order number to use to order the valves?
:banghead:
Sorry for all the questions, but I think there are some members who are ready to order the valves if the above information was made available.
Thanks much for any and all help on this project! :D

I have this on file if it helps any at all??? :dizzy:

Manley doesn’t sell one offs of a lot of valves. So no buying say 80 valves at once for a better price. This is actually good news. It makes everything easer all the way around. This means the price per valve is the same weather buying one or sixty. Valves will be shipped from Manley. From the time I place the order there is about 6 week wait. The current retail price per valve is $82.98. I will be selling them for $60.51 per valve. Manley lost my original paper work. I sent a new exhaust valve to them yesterday. They should have it by Monday. I doing it this way so should there be a problem it is on them. I would provide ordering details next week shipping and taxes. I have a few thing to finish setting up on my end.

Just a curiosity question...

What is the quality of the valves that come in a new VMotori head?
Should a person still replace with better valves at 100K?

If your rig is deleted, the intake is decarboned, you don't tow and never let it overheat, the stock valves should last hundreds of thousands of miles.
