This is my first post, so I hope this helps like-minded Jeep Liberty CRD enthusiasts. I did some searching to see if there was anything like this posted already and didn't come up with much so here goes...

Like many Jeep Liberty CRD owners I have experienced the issue of cracked and deteriorating inter-cooler hoses seriously affecting engine performance. The first time it happened I looked into supposedly longer-lasting silicone hoses and got sticker shock seeing $300+ prices for the pair of hoses on offer from Samco. I decided to go with the standard rubber hoses and all was well...for a while. My 2006 has been sitting for 5+ years needing several other repairs and I recently started working on getting everything in order. Those rubber inter-cooler hoses aren't currently leaking, but they do feel very soft and flimsy, so I decided while I'm doing other repairs like replacing ceramic glow plugs and cleaning out the turbo charger and throttle body, I might as well replace these hoses. I did a recent search for silicone replacements and couldn't find the Samco hoses in stock and Mishimoto sets were even higher at around $350+ for the pair. Then I came across some German LLS silicone hoses on Ebay. At first I was only able to find one hose from one seller in Germany and the other hose from another seller in the UK and with the international shipping on two separate orders being pretty high, it was only slightly cheaper than the price of the Mishimoto set and would take longer to ship. But I finally figured out that the set of hoses for the 2005-2007 Jeep Cherokee CRD that kept popping up in my searches for these German hoses is compatible because it is basically the same vehicle that was sold in the US as the Jeep Liberty CRD in 2005 and 2006, a.k.a. the "KJ". I then found a listing for the set of hoses I needed from one seller so the shipping was a better deal.

Long story short, all totaled the pair cost $210.83 including shipping. I received them via DHL in 7 days. The seller is mystore68 and the listing was "2x Ladeluftschlauch für Jeep Cherokee KJ 2.5 2.8 CRD 55038729AC 55038729AD". The hoses came with screw-type hose clamps as well. I have not installed them yet because I am waiting on some other parts that I need to install before the hoses go in. But I put them side by side with the old hoses and they are a perfect match! The new hoses have thicker walls and feel much more substantial (and they're blue if you're into that sort of thing). I haven't seen Samco or Mishimoto hoses in person for comparison, but these LLS hoses certainly look and feel like a much higher quality item than the original rubber hoses. Time will tell if they perform in the long run, but I feel like a silicone set of hoses for a third less than the competition is worth a roll of the dice. Besides, what country produces more turbocharged vehicles? I gotta think the Germans know how to make a proper hose for turbocharged engines.
