The lights in the rear bumper must be the 'fog' lights that are mentioned in the service manual.

If I am correct they are not in the bumper, but in the bottom portion of the taillight. They have bulbs instead of just reflectors like in the US. Most high end cars have this built in, you can't really notice it until someone turns them on. Look at any Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Etc...

The conversion requires the Euro turn signal stalk, full wiring harness, and tail light assembly(s) that are not North American available.
Probably cost $1,500 to $2,000 for the parts and then there is your labor.

If not for wiring harness the cost would be in a reasonable reach for most, but someone should check to see if the wires are there to be sure. I they are then getting the parts to the US would be easy.

Considering that 40 - 60% of auto sales in Europe are diesels.... it's kinda funny seeing a 3.7L Euro-Spec Liberty and a 2.8L US-Spec Liberty...

I love that bumper.

Have you had a chance to look at an E-spec CRD and see if they have the same emissions stuff we do? Do they have EGR flow control and EGR?

I did the espec Foglight kit on my wifes 2000 Neon and it was $200 for the complete kit. Turn signal stock, wire harness, and lamps direct form Chrysler.

No the rear fog lights are located in the lower portion of the tail light asyembly as stated above. The bumper has reflectors only.

Working on this. I have only been able to find the 2.5 CRD

That would be a really good location for high-intensity backup lamps (with plenty of cooling behind the bumper that isn't present at the tail-light cluster).

Something to keep in mind in case someone hits me from the rear and I get a new bumper, because otherwise, it would be a cost-prohibitive casual mod.

The spare tire holder is completely different, it swings out so you can take the spare off. I will be doing this conversion as well.

Hmm I think there are a few more....

spare tire holder complete $750
rear glass with antenna tinted $320
Parts only. Looking for the part #s so that you SHOULD be able to order these at your local dealer.

I really like that spare tire holder... So, to open the tailgate do you have to swing the spare before the tailgate, or does it also just swing with the gate like the US one?

It swings with the door as with the US spec. The next time they drive over with the Blue KJ I will take some more photos of the spare tire holder.
