I just bought a case of filters from that ebay dealer. THANKS!!!!!

Thanks alljeep for posting the link. They do have a good price on those. I won't use non MOPAR filters as I don't want to take any chances. I know there are better filters out thre, however, if anything happens and it just could be the oil filters fault, then I'm coveded with a MOPAR filter.

P.S. Everyone that bought oil filters, don't forget to get a coper crush gasket for each filter you buy that way you remember to use one. Otherwise you will leak from the drain plug.

When I change my oil I NEVER remove the dran plug,I use a PELLA 3000 to suck the oild out like I did in all my TDI'S and its works just great.

You know, I was going to try this (I have a Pela pump), but somebody on here had said that the the hose on the Pela was too big around to fit in the dip stick tube....or that it wasn't long enough....I don't remember. Anyway, I never tried it.

Can you get the hose all the way down to the bottom of the oilpan? If so, that would be great news! My Pela has been sitting in the box since I got rid of the TDI about a year ago.

YES it works but you have to put like a box or some thing because it's a bit far to the dip stick,but I was able to suck all of the oil out.

Oh, that's great news. Although, I guess you still have to make a mess to get the filter off. It's too bad that these Jeeps don't have a top loading filter like the VWs do. They were such a breeze to change.

I'm ready for an oil change...maybe I'll try the Pela this time to see how it goes.

I have the pela from my TDI...but the oil is so easy to change on the CRD I think it would actually be harder to pull it out with the pela. It was easy on the TDI because you had to jack the TDI up to get an oil pan under there.
