I went in to buy a part on Saturday. There was a guy there wanting a CRD. He was looking at mine when his salesperson told him that mine was a customer's car and not for sale. When I walked out, the guy offered me $22K on the sport for it.

Sell it privately. There are a LOT of people who want these. The dealers are just offering the same $ they'd offer for a 3.7L. A---oles.

Thats not much more than I paid for mine I would have had to taken him up on it. It would have cost me next to thing to drive 34k.

Hey All,

KBB and Edmunds both gather data by zip code. Some vehicles are hot in some areas and some are not. In my area the CRD's are holding their equity nicely.

I checked on KBB got a low price of 16,500 and a high of 18,900 on Edmunds. I paid around 22 for my sport in 4/05. So, in just under 2 years it has devalued around 25% +/-. Since I have close to 40k miles I am happy with that figure. If I had "normal" miles it would have added about another 1,000 to the price.

I checked autotrader and found about 250 total CRD for sale in US. Since around 11,000 were made that means only about 2.5 % are on the internet. If you add in other sites and non internet listings I suspect that there could not be more than double the number so only about 5-6% available.

Seems like pretty good numbers to me (as an owner)
