I saw a used Lib that had nasty flares. My sister worked in plastics for years. To paraphrase her, not all plastics are created equal. It may depend on the particular verndor that provided them to DC.

05 Limited CRD. Bought it new. 112k on the clock now.

GDE Eco-tune, rear differential drain plug (drilled and tapped the pumpkin), transmission pan drain plug, Fumoto oil valve, fuel filler neck restriction removed, front hitch, Hayden fan clutch, Sears P1 battery since 08, Mobil 1 5w40, 5 volt glow plugs, DIY timing belt at 109k

I bought mine in 9/05 and could have gotten an 06 or about $800 more but like others....I wanted the 7/70. The LTD was less than $2k more than a sport and had the bling, leather, power seats, and tow pkg. For about $25 more a month...why not was my thought. I do NOT have nor want the sunroof, too hot in FL plus it gives you heated seats as well I believe. Only other option I don't have is the Nav system and certain skids. Paid like mid $24's.

I was looking for a Sport when I bought, but I couldn't find one with the sunroof or TracLok. Most of the Limiteds that I found were loaded, and most of the Sports were stripped. I wanted a middle-ground, but couldn't find it. I'd rather have more than I wanted than less, so I got the Limited with almost everything on it. I talked them down low enough to make the price liveable and I haven't regretted the decision.

I got exactly what I was looking for at the right price. A basic limited in Bright Silver metallic for 23k.

The only reason for limited was that I wanted cruise, the upgraded 4x4 system, and SAT RAD.

I am very happy with it.

Hmm, maybe it's just the gasser that has that then. Or maybe teh salesman gave me a load of doo doo...but I was under the impression that the full-time 4x4 feature was an upgrade and that the base models had only 4x2 and part-time 4x4.

I just went back to all my old paperwork I collected before I got my CRD and did discover that the diesel option forced the full time transfer case. So all CRDs have the same 4x4 system be it a Sport or Limited model. As for cruise control and Satellite radio, I have them on my Sport so they are not specific to a Limited either.

All I know is the silver Limiteds look REALLY good!!!

My '06 Sport has Power Sunroof, cruise, CD, air (which I promtly swapped for my own Pioneer head unit), power windows, locks, keyless entry, tinted windows, matching aluminum spare, etc.

This is what my dealer brings in for a base model, which has more then a base gasser and makes for a pretty good bargin when buying a diesel. I'm happy with mine, no question.

you changed out your air conditioning for one made by Pioneer???? Must be a Newfie thing.

Nope, it was wrecked back in July and after five months of haggling with the insurance company they finally declared it a total loss and paid me my $$$.

I was so glad it was over with...before the accident my TDI ran like a dream though...I loved it.
