Wow......
Those darn MAF sensors. Bumpy roads just seems to bounce them loose.
I sure hope you can arrange a time most convenient to your busy schedule to plug it back in. You know, with global warming and all.

Those parking lot bumps are the worst. Mine fell out in the parking lot at work.

I noticed the CRD was a bit noisier starting up. Sounds a little quieter at speed, though. Seems to have a lot more power in lower gears. It took noticeably longer for the engine to reach normal operating temperature. The EVIC seems to like the change, but there won't be official MPG results of a complete tank for a couple weeks. The pretty amber engine light came on the second time I started the CRD. I guess it means I have an engine, right?

Well after spending about 4 hrs last night and most of the day today getting over a virus & spyware attack, but everything is all better now. But I sure would love 5 minutes alone with one of these a$$holes that does this crap.

EaO-34 is for Jeep, EaO-42 was for my Magnum I am a member of a Dodge and seem to have posted the same here as there. :?

Did a bunch of running around town today and will fill the CRD tomorrow, but I was having a lot of fun with all the torque. I may have lowered the wife's MPG's though.

375 is typical around town mileage, very little highway if any. Throw in a little highway and it will hit 400. This is with the lift and 255/75/16 tires. I imagine the lift and tires are good for a 2-3 mpg hit. Typically the EVIC will display 21 to 21.5, with calculations being more like 19.5 mpgs. Filled up and reset the EVIC and half way into the tank so far, EVIC is displaying 24.5 so looks very promising so far.

This is in addition to much better road manners as well, so it will be staying this way.

I could never figure out why the Rotella T Synth coming out of my 2003 DMAX after 7k to 10k miles was still honey colored and the same oil out of the Liberty looks like tar after 500 miles. Guess it is the blasted EGR valve at fault for contaminating the oil with piles of soot and I would bet doing nothing to extend engine life.

Not to get off topic but you have 255/75/16 tires? Who makes them?

Just got the CRD back from 11 days shop time (F23, F37, ABS , ESP ...etc). I filled it up right out of the shop and did the manual fuel check after a week of driving. I checked the mileage out in 90% highway (50-55) and 10% city. My mileage is now worse than what I got on the old 3.7 gasser - I got an honest 14.5 mpg! Temperatures hovered around 50F and flat valley land only.

I mentioned this to the technician at the dealership and got the response that Chrysler does not publicize that sort of specifications for the CRD but he would welcome any CRD forum generated information.

Are you saying I could double my mileage by doing an ORM. This sounds even better than snake oil !

My mistake, tire size is actually 255/70/16 Grabber AT2's. Nice catch.

My guess is you have either a computer giving you erronous distance traveled or you a have a fuel pump out of cal/timing? The distance thing is easy to check, but with the way the CRD is timed I am not sure anything can be done about the mileage without a major effort by your dealership/DC.

What was your mileage before your CRD went into the shop?
How many miles on the vehicle?

oldnavy, why use the Ea042 Amsoil filter instead of the Ea034?

Ah brown stinkies a typo!!! The EaO-42 is for my Magnum and 34 is for the Jeep.

Now to go back and do a correction.

No problem...I was just curious if I missed something.

I've got some Mobil1 M1-211 oil filters to use up (4 more) and then I'll probably go back to the Amsoil filters

Where did you find them at? I haven't been able to find any even on the internet.

I found them at autobarn. I filled out the online order form on their website and in the comment section, specified that I only wanted M1-211 oil filters; nothing else. I didn't hear anything for about a week and then they showed up at my doorstep. :)

Well I'll be horse whipped. That is where I was getting them then when I tried the last two times the rep said they were no longer available.

I'll try your method.

The autobarn reps gave me the same story. I didn't give up; I just went around 'em.

OK, now do the same thing using the on-line order thingy. I think you have to specify the make and model year for the mobil 1 oil filters. There is also a comment section where you can type in a message. Type in what you told the rep on the phone; that you want Mobil1 M1-211 oil filters only, you do not want a substitute. Hit enter and send your order off.

If your order was like mine, it will show up at your door step in a week or so.

I don't know what else to say and I definitely can't explain why their customer service doesn't realize that autobarn can get these filters.

I will give it a try. What's the worse that can happen, they send me the wrong filter or nothing at all.

Last fill was 18 all city and this one was 20 all city. I have been driving it some this week and just today put a new set of Geolandar H/T-S GO51 235/70/16's and managed to light them up twice before getting fuel 1 mile down the street. 8) Before you jump in there about the wrong tire load rating, this is just a soccer mom car, never tows, and a full load would be a full tank and one adult and grandson, on rare ocassions me and wife will take it somewhere.
