They're both running fine now and both the primer pumps work now. I think my next purchase will be the Kennedy lift pump. I shouldn't actually need the changed the filters very often but when I do having the lift pump should help significantly. 8)

The Cat2 micron kit from what I understand has issues with airleaks. http://liberty.eurekaboy.com/racor.htm Eurekaboy had more airleaks with his CAT filter and switched to the RACOR http://liberty.eurekaboy.com/racor.htm

I've got a RACOR and it works well. Anybody who wants a FREE cat fuel filter thread adaptor email me and for the cost of shipping and packaging, its yours!

I had trouble with mine when I first installed it too. No air leaks before and I stalled twice after installation. I finally tracked it down the the bleeder valve mod. The valve was not seating completely and it would let just a tiny bit of air in. I had to bleed and prime about once a week for the first month after install. No problems for 3 months now. I do like the Racor unit alot and probably would have gone that route if I would have done a little more research. I am pleased with the CAT setup now and a lift pump is next on my list anyway.

When I did the Cat filter mod I had constant air leaks too. Even to the point of taking it all apart to replace the o-ring between the puck and head.

Then I finally realized it wasn't the puck or filter at all, but the bleed screw. I had done so much loosening and tightening in the process of bleeding that it would not seal. I took it out and lapped the seat, put it back and tightened the crap out of it, and no more leaks, no more bleeding. I now have a lift pump, so I will never have to touch the thing again.
