That is exactly my feeling. The first diesel Jeep to come with that lifetime warranty is the one I own, the price is almost irrelevant at that point, it becomes an investment.

We considered that also.

This just happend to be a good time for us to switch. Our Liberty is at that point in it's life cycle that we were ahead on the loan. We put on an average of 20k miles per year so we had about another year of warranty left.

This combined with the fact they were offering us a great deal on our trade and on the purchase of a new GC was what made the deal.

The prices they were offering on the Diesel option it does not suprise me they were not selling well. Combine that with the lifetime warranty on the drivetrain and the fact that diesel is higher it does not suprise me that some dealers had them sitting on the lots a LONG time.
