Bell housing is the same between the 2.8MT and the 3.7MT.
The 02-04 MT trans is the NV3550, found in the 00+ XJ, 00+ TJ etc. The bellhousing is different between the XJ/TJ and the KJ. The 05+ KJ uses the Mercedes sourced NSG370 6 speed, it has an integrated bellhousing, if you want to use the 6speed you need to source one from a 05+ KJ.
The expensive part is the dual mass flywheel, and clutch. Those would need to be purchased overseas. Currently there seems to be no way to order export parts in the US despite this being the country of origin.
