Temp sensor is on the left, heater plug on the right if you are standing in front facing it. Water-in-fuel sensor is on the underside of the filter. The temp plug is kind of tricky - the release tab is on the underside of it, and the plug is not nearly as long as the heater plug. I may not have figured it out without breaking it if not for the write-up I linked earlier. I now disconnect both plugs, disconnect the to/ from fuel lines, unbolt the assembly from the firewall, then pull it up enough to unplug the WIF sensor and pull the whole thing out. Lot less messy when draining the old filter, plus it gives me easy acess to check my wire bundle for rub-through behind the filter assembly.
P.S. Make sure you do NOT fill the new filter with the fuel you drained from the old filter, you'll end up with unfiltered fuel going straight to the injection pump.
Thanks for that. Yes, my left as I am standing in front of it. Never knew of the underside release tab. I will "feel" for it and probably do it this way from now on. I never prefill the filter. I just give it 20 pumps or so, then bleed and repeat. Thanks again.
