Not needed, unless you just want the added piece of mind. Why is it all of the GDE eco tunes aren't getting any better and some not as good of gas mileage as me and other stockers? I thought that tune was supposed to let a buyer retire early.

Oh ouch. Good thing you didn't buy it then.

I'm not complaining about mine. I just drove the highway this past week and got 27 mpg with a bad thermo AND a heavy foot. (averaged 80 mph). I'm pretty sure he has a problem with something else in his rig causing the low MPG.

27MPG @ 80MPH is excellent.

Big Montana,

I believe you are correct. I have some pretty good indications that my e-brake is sticking a bit.

And to whomever asked it, yes, I used to drive a stick, and honestly, leaving the safety of the vehicle and others to the small pall lever in the tranny just doesn't seem like the smartest thing to do. I like using the parking brake.

Oh, and for the record, the last full tank I drove before the ECO tune, I got 21.0 mpg. My last tank just now got 25.4 mpg. Looks like a nice improvement to me.... I suspect the brake has been sticking the whole darn time.
