Almost forgot. The reason the engine cover is cracked is because I ran it over with the jeep while I was in North Dakota. Forgot it was off and in front of the jeep.

Anyway like I said the motor is still strong and so is the tranny.

I was really worried about that, i thought maybe the engine was overheating and the cover cracked, but that puts my mind at ease. Thanks so much! What sort of mileage was the jeep doin when you sold it? Thanks once again, i'm really glad you found this thread

Well, in the case, I would recommend that Krispy make sure the coolant issue is fixed (maybe get the price down even more for this?) and then buy it. You're getting a well taken care of CRD with a lot of money in very nice aftermarket parts, especially the Eco Tune and Suncoast.

Best of luck.

It had 180+K on it when I sold it. I just let it go back in August. Had it almost 3 1/2 yrs. Bought it with just under 10K miles. Put over 170K on it. The coolant over flow issue is real wierd. After the dealership would suck out the overflow side it would take over 100 miles of continous driving to get it close or start to over flow again. It could be something as simple as the drain from the overflow side to the reservoir side of the bottle is partially plugged. Or it could be something as bad as a cracked head. there was never any appearance of soot in the coolant and I never had any loss of coolant to the motor just on the ground through the overflow. I believe there is a thread on here somewhere about the issue.

Oh and I was getting 25-28 mpg depending on city or highway. I prolly would have gotten better mpg on highway if I wasn't doing 75-78 mph on the interstate.
