The WVO is not an issue. I bought this vehicle new specifically to run WVO in it. As soon as 36K and the warranty was up I started running WVO. It came from the factory with B95 in it. The fuel system was designed with Bio Fuel in mind. Anything you can do wrong with it I have done it. This is a robust engine in the fuel burning department.
It burns best when heated to the optimum temp...and the engine is already running....but i have run it in may scenarios...if it is liquid and not jelled it will burn. If you shut down on it....and let it sit....it will not....somtimes I forgot....
Actually, I believe it came with B5 and Chrysler never recommended more than B20. I've run B99 a few times with no issues, but thought I should point this out. I know nothing about running WVO, so I can't comment on that specifically...

How ever, the turbo is not robust enough....and the timing belt...i will consider my self lucky....62K lucky....this should also be more robust as well dont ya think....
Very, VERY lucky. The turbo, on the other hand, should be fine for some time if properly cooled down, etc.

Is this why they discontinued this engine in this vehicle.
They discontinued it, if I recall correctly, largely because the new EPA regs that took hold in 2007 would've required significant changes to the engine, thus more R&D $$$$. The vehicles sold very well, but I've read that Jeep just felt it wasn't worth putting the money into the changes that needed to be made.
