There is a lot of trapped air in this system; for sure this is not good.

Every morning, while the engine is cold, I have been relieving the radiator of trapped air via the relief valve on top of the radiator. Will it ever end?

It will dont worry, make sure you also check the fluid level with the engine off and cold,to build up pressure it needs to stay full.Sorry about the relief valve i didnt knew about it on the crd,i just got mine few months ago, loving it,but still learning it and finding new stuff, but still, what an amazing jeep this is!
