I'm on my second set of BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A Tour and love them. when these wear out, I'll get a third set.

I can add my recommendation for Michelin LTX MS2 tires, although I got the 235/70 16s because they were essentially identical rolling diameter as the OEM tires. The MS2 is the current tread designation, I now have about 90,000 miles on the LTX MS tires, and they look like they'll go another 10,000 miles or so.

^ my dad had those on my CRD when he owned it. they went for 120k before they needed to be changed, and they still had a bit of tread left on them that couldve been pushed a LITTLE further. he had em in 245-70-16.

^ I have these on my CRD. They were on it when I bought it used. The mileage is unknown, but the date code is late 2007. They show no wear and are great in the rain... Have not had snow to try them in. I think I will ditch the BFG commercial tractions on my 96 silverado 3500 turbo diesel and get these. Excellent tires, but not cheap. I don't believe in cheeping out on tires given where I live :-)

I've had good luck/no problems with the Bridgestone Revos. I've got about 40,000 miles on them and they show little to no wear. The ST's that came from the factory were about as bad as it gets.
