was going too stealership but they seem too guees more than anything and i can do that without it costing me more, its either ecu, crankshaft sensor, there also a acceleration sensor, maybe you get a clue,,might go to dealership too get a diagnostic but i wont let them fix as they good at charging too much too do things

Hi, Did you find anything that worked on yours, Im still thinking about the crankshaft speed sensor but Ive spent up & got a bit bored with wasting money on mine, Ive put the ECU back on Ebay to try & get some money back, are you having more luck as I would guess yours has the same fault as mine

I will be interested to see if it cures yours & I will be buying one too if it does!! Are you fitting it? not looked where it is yet but think its tricky to access & best attacked from under the car. MOT near due too :dizzy:

just use the key trick works every time and its free, all you got to do is turn the ignition on and off three times really quickly and the last time leave the ignition on and read the codes on the dash or better still video them so you can see them again with ease,

Hi
Its not the same code as mine & CRD'S do suffer from filter/filter head problems, I tested mine buy by -passing the filterhead with a short piece of brass pipe from a plumbing tap fitting. I just joined the in pipe from the tank to the out pipe & ran short term (I know my tank is clean as I have already taken it off, however it also has fine filters in on the pick up!) It's a quick & easy test of the filter head.

Dave :)

You need to turn ON/OFF/ON four times very fast....it should work...I have basically the identical vehicle except for Km gauges instead of mile gauges. :?
