That's disappointing. I thought that pulley had potential. Did you find out what was causing the wobbling?

No, just a guess that the positork uses a polymer spring material instead of steel roller bearings. The diesel engine was too much for it. They might work as advertised for gassers.

When I bought it I tried to wiggle it by hand and the polymer was tuff to move. The pulley may have been unable to completely absorb all the pulse of the engine. The remainder resulting in a slight wobble. After less than 400 miles the pulley had a half inch of freeplay in it.

Folks,

The Liberty CRD uses a Litens OAD on the alternator. These OAD's are availalbe and are easy to put on yourself. The Facet Reactiv pulley and others such as Zen one way clutch pulley are not good replacemtens, as this thread clearly shows.

The decision is a simple one, when your decoupler breaks, simply put on a new Litens OAD. No headaches. It is Original Equipment for a reason.
If you are going to replace the entire alternator MAKE SURE IT HAS A LITENS OAD ON IT AND NOT SOME CHEAPER INFERIOR PULLEY. Many alternator rebuilders will put a cheap pulley on to make the price of the alternator more attractive. Be aware of what you are buying.

If you still think that Facet Reactiv pulley is a suitable replacment, have a look at this video.

Any idea where in Canada I can buy my Made in Canada Litens pulley for a reasonable price, instead of having to order it from the US?

Not sure where my alternator came from on the 06 Liberty CRD came from but it said remanufactured.
I noticed the pulley was wobbling and causing funny jerks at idle. Ordered a new replacement from Cali
alternator on eBay for $194. So far so good. Pulled the bad pulley of the old alternator and turned out to be
a Facet Reactiv pulley. I tried to get the pulley replaced by contacting the company. I was told their pulley was
not made for the torque of a diesel engine and they would not replace it. They said the pully on my alternator was made only for the 3.7 gas engine.
