oldnavy, any information on your new ccv. I saw the vw design. I'm not willing yet to replace a factory emissions part but was wondering if it could be installed immediately after the factory ccv? My provent is not installed. Toying with location and its design. And have not found any post of a provent venting to atmosphere through the provent cap. And I can't seem to think of a reason why the hose after the factory ccv would be pulling a vacuum and therefore for the outlet to need to be sealed. I know I should do what the engineers have designed and thousands have successfully used but I hate to flood a filter to have a filter.

All I am allowed to say is it will include the OEM CCV valve.

Edited to change the word "filter" to "valve", sorry for the slip.

I may have an unused provent for sale. I won't nag for a time frame. It's just I want to flush the cac on the vehicle and clean the hoses one more time but first wanted to stop all the oil. The service manager at the local dealership is waiting for the results of my home made flush ideas for the cac.

Hey, Old Navy
How about an update on the production schedule for your CCV for all of us who are chomping at the bit?

Latest I hear is scheduled for prototype testing by 15th of the month. I sure hope they are on schedule and I can start watching for a UPS truck delivery in about 10 days or so from now. If all goes well we should be done with testing in just a month or there abouts.

Yes there will be lot of pictures of the install and hopefuly some really deserved sucess for the folks here on the forum. I think I have found real good people to do the design and mfg work and that is the reason it is taking so long, they want to get it right the first time and not two or three mods later down the line. I really have a good feeling about this mfg and I think it will work out for us all here on the forum.

I am also very interested. It's funny because OLDNAVY sounded really familiar. I was browsing the LX Forums a month ago after test driving a magnum.....

Hey, hey, that's me dude. Love my Magnum. First new car I ever owned that hasn't had a few trips back to dealer for fixes under warranty, looks like the Liberty is making up for it though. Been thinking about selling it and getting a Sprinter Motor Home, but can't really bring myself to sell or trade the car as it's been such a sweet ride. I was at the dealer today where we bought it and the Jeep and was telling the parts mgr about getting ready to toss the OEM Bra for the Maggie because of poor fit and he said not to do anything like that, he would warranty it and get me another bra either for the Magnum or the Liberty. He said he would order both and I when they got here just do which ever I wanted, refund, swap for Liberty Bra, have a new Magnum Bra, or whatever.

Just to clarify, it's a new design for a valve, not a filter.

New the the forum here. Wife just got a 06 CRD. We both love it. I'm already a hopeless diesel head myself (have 01 and 06 Cummins/Dodge and live on the TDR). Naturely, I found you guys with the new oil burner in the stable. Obviously, have to fix this CCV issue, and OldNavy's fix seems to fit the bill. Sign me up for one.

I probably won't ever use a ProVent..mainly because of warranty issues, installation and plumbing nightmares, and extreme cost of the stupid thing. But OldNavy's CCV setup sounds a little nicer and if the price is right I will definitely consider one of these.

Sign me up for one as well. I'll keep the Provent installed downstream of it for a while. I'll pop a fresh filter in the Provent when I install the Oldnavy version, then wait and see what happens with the Provent filter to see how effective it is. Be a bloody sight easier than popping off the intercooler hoses every 1000 miles.
