Turbos might not be bad, the rebuild parts kit for lunatics like me that want to try rebuilding first might also not be a bad thing. I got mine from BAE Turbo Systems listed as such on the receipt:
Turbo Service Kit for Garrett GT15 GT17 GT20 GT22 732252-0001 Part number: SKGGT157322520001
What about motor mounts? I'm about to check your site for that, I was looking to order one to install this coming weekend.
Big no on the turbo rebuild kits. We have worked with Garrett for many years and Garrett specifically forbids rebuilding of VNT turbochargers - if a Garrett authorized repair center repairs a VNT turbo they may lose their license. The failure rate is through the roof. Thus, the "rebuild kits" are aftermarket, non-Garrett products and I frankly don't have enough confidence in them to use them myself, so I wouldn't be comfortable recommending to someone.

I'll look into the motor mounts today.
LOL... Suggesting that I read my own thread? I'm sure you missed that I was the one asking you about the rebuild kits and motor mounts. No problem, I needed that laugh.
As it happens, that rebuild is out of my CRD, and I now have a "FrankenTurbo" of the Garrett-Original center cartridge and wheels from that brand-new turbo I had bought, and the turbine outer housing from the turbo that had failed. This way, I have functional parts from each unit, and the parts that failed are now in a pile. I gave up on the rebuilt center cartridge b/c it makes a scraping sound when stopping the motor, but didn't make any noises while running. I don't like that it was making a noise, but I believe that might be related to the slight damage that the compressor wheel took when the original bearing failed. It isn't worth my engine, and I had enough parts to make something work.
Perhaps if that compressor hadn't been damaged, things would be different.
