I don't think this would work, IIRC it's for the 2004 CRD engine. In any case the 2005/06 2.8L OEM tstat has 4 outlets and this one only has 3. It's missing the rather important degassing port that bleeds air and coolant back to the overflow tank as the coolant heats up and pulls coolant back into the engine and things cool down.

IMHO any attempt to use this is just asking for air in the block/head problems that you do not want.

Does the electric fan for the air-con turn on? :?

Bump :?

There is a high speed relay and a low speed relay for the cooling fan in front of the air con radiator.
One of these relays should energize and spin up the electric fan when the engine gets hot. :?
