Since your playing with the ecm, is there any way to tell if there is an overboost DTC or if it would send the engine into limp mode? I'm toying the idea of twin turbo'ing my crd, but I don't want to send the ecm into a frenzy when boost goes above normal.

yup..there are limiter and requested maps for charge pressure...and while playing i have had faults for target boost pressure below requested...or something along those lines...It was the summer when I really played with that...and have since replaced the turbo as mine was failing at the time..

.i havent gone overbored with charge pressure...mostly been focusing on emissions and fuel economy..

also..the truck just triggered a cel...didnt go into Limp mode like the VW's do...maybe I didnt hit a threshold...not to sure VGT turbos behave completely different from the large frame fixed geometry stuff im used to

What tuning software are you using? Im not wanting to make a lot of boost, just enough to clear up any smoke an keep the egts low.
