I'm going unplug MAF sensor to kill the EGR for now and see what happens, although I have done that before and noticed a MAJOR reduction in MPG. I skimmed through the links you guys posted (I'll read them fully in a little while), but about how far is it from the EGR to where the CAC hose attaches to the engine? If the EGR is close enough to the CAC to push the exhaust back into the hose that would explain the soot I found yesterday, the EGR popping loose and closing would explain the noise I heard when I first posted on this, and of course all the exhaust getting dumped into the intake would explain why it's so freaking hot!!

 :pepper: :BINGO: THANK YOU LOST JEEP NATION!!! Unplugged the MAF sensor and it ran like a Jordy Nelson getting a completion from Arron Rogers!!! So now to deal with that piece of junk EGR valve.

Probably going to go with the GDE Eco Tune, wish I could go with Full Torque but I don't know what torque converter I have. Thanks for the offer though.
