Fun story bought a new head from ID parts. Installed it and drove perfect for about 1000 miles. Then it dropped an exhaust valve and destroyed my perfect engine. It is my belief that the head was sourced from china and it came with the defective exhaust valves.

Did you overrev the engine? You should NEVER go over 3500 RPM in these rigs. Also did you check the valve to seat seal before installing it? Even when brand new this should be checked. EVERTHING is mass produced any more. Always check someone elses work. As far as I know they ID parts new heads are still manufactured in Italy. If it WERE a Chinese head it probably would have been fine because they would have had a 12 year old child check to make sure everything was perfect for fear of getting his booty beat.
