Replaced factory Optima (suprised it lasted 6 years with 2 years spent in Edmonton, AB), which was cranking poorly in cold weather, with Deka Intimidator Group 34. Zero terminal fit issues. Just drop in...tighten up...and go.

Loving the exhaust but some one backed into my CRD at the exhaust shop. The SOB hit it hard enough that it will need a new drivers side front door, fender, and lower door hinge pulled back into alignment (this might total it). What really makes it a sh&%$y deal is the guy who hit me drove off, knowing darn good and well he hit my car. Shop's insurance is going to pay for the damage and I got the exhaust work for free. I'd rather have paid and had an intact vehicle.

ordered the eco tune from green diesel engineering! should have it in a few days, did the ecu swap method, not time to park it while I wait, so turn around is only a matter of waiting for return of deposit. can't wait, 5 mpg to the gallon better on the highway here I come!

Replaced the factory thermostat yesterday. Flushed and filled with new coolant. Temp is now at 1 tick from 12 O'clock. Was at 1/4 before. Cleaned MAP for the first time since my GDE tune. It has been over 10000 miles. It was a little oily, but there was no soot on it, like the first time I cleaned it.

Installed an ignition actuator to replace the one the dealer installed 9 months ago that broke last week. They had used a salvage yard part because a factory part wasn't readily available. Thanks to Lost members information I got a new part from Rockauto.com for $28.80 delivered. Part number Dorman 924-704. Took 15-20 minuted to install. Dealer charged me over $300 to do the last one, 2 hours and $176 labor. Seems these things fail quite regularly. I called DC and asked for an investigation to possibly have a recall on this underbuilt piece of crap. The same part is used on the Wrangler, PT Cruiser and Neon.

well trying to warm up the hands but the Liberty is now running under green diesel engineering's tune. Did not drive it yet, just started the jeep to make sure it ran. Boy are the bottom nuts that hold the ecu in place a pita to get to. Removed battery, fuse box unclipped, relay moved just to get some slack in the harness to get a socket under there. Took all of fifteen minutes, good thing I had just parked and the motor was warm or I would have really froze my booty off.

I put in the shop for timing belt ,water pump, and all that good stuff. I bought the 2006 jeep two weeks ago for $4400. Already rebuilt the transfer case. Ready to hill climb a little bit.
Do the tune help that much! $450 worth of much?

I'm thinking about the tune also. Let us know how it does. Thanks

If you like more HP, more torque, less EGR function hence less soot and oil where they don't belong, reduced use of viscous heater, etc PLUS the 20% improvement in mpg I've experienced then the GDE EcoTune is worth every penny of $450.

It had a 137000mile on the crd. But I had to rebuilt the transfer case for $875. And the timing belt and water pump and the Tensioner Pulley Idler pulley Thermostat and lot of other little hoses and odd and ends around a 1000.00. But runs great. Didn't know if belt was done or not.

I gave them my vin number and injector codes and they mailed me a flashed ecu, and then sent my stock ecu back to them for the deposit.

Finally got around to fixing the muffler bang we've had since our trip to Moab 2 months ago! I initially thought that it was a broken hanger, but it turned out that the muffler had pulled off of the cat and the two were banging into each other when the Jeep went over bumps. Easy fix. Just lifted it all back into position and clamped it back down. For added insurance i broke out the welder and tacked everything together this time.

On my way to get inspection and emissions done. Not worried in the least. Still runs like a beast!

Well changing the wheel bearings today checking on my final parts for my 4.10 swap and then probably pads and rotors and finally a full arb air locker set-up. And new tires in there somewhere well 2 sets of new tires my coopers have seen better days but I will be going back with them. And little surprise with the second set of tires and rims.

I had to jump start mine....again. Tomorrow I'm finally going to get a new battery on my day off. I'm getting sick of carrying around a jump box so that I can get it started after work.
