I wanted a Diesel SUV and Liberty CRD was the only real candidate. I was not going to wait for the right VW Tourag to become available and they put the Tourag way to far out of my price range. I am too tall to drive the GC and have to wrench my head down to see the traffic lights, so the GC CRD is not on my list.
My mods are in signature.
Mods to come rea replacing the Back pressure choking counter weight called a stock muffler with a free flowing Magnaflow and upgrading the torque converter.
This Jeep has grown on me :D :D :D
Any one want to buy some of my Military rifle collection to fund my Torque converter upgrade?

2006 CRD Sport, khaki, bought used w/20k Sept '07, now at 31k. EHM is the only mod so far, SEGR sitting on the floor of my room (coming soon!) Had a couple dead batteries due to a trailer wiring harness issue, fixed under warranty by dealer, otherwise nary a hiccup. Love it!

Still have my 05 CRD limited since new April 2005, just bought today an ARB front bumper, can't wait to see it on, I'm like a kid on Christmas day.

Bought New with only 82 miles on it, pretty much all put on from the dealer swap a few miles across the state.
Mods, New BFG 235 AT KOs as the stock Good Years were a joke
Skid Row Skids
Tow Hooks
Straight Pipe
Wet Okole Seat covers
Husky Floor Liners

SERG bought, (waiting to get back from the dealer and will go on soon.)

Warranty Issues- to name a few, 2nd EGR is going in. All of the hoses were replaced under warranty as was the turbo last May.
Stupid F37 hasn't done anything. Trans was rebuilt shortly after that with around 12,000 miles and has never shifted the same since.
Ball Joint Recall

She has a tad over 52k now but at the time I had no room or need for a diesel pickup from one of the big three. I needed something that was capable off road and handle the snow. The Liberty still offered a solid rear axel, 4 wheel ABS and ESB. The diesel factor was just cool knowing the power potential that they have. Aside from the frustrations we all share it's a good truck, only after everyone on LOST helped fix the bugs. :)

Bought it new. Use to go to mountains on weekends. I also tow a boat, 17ft bass boat.
It started shuddering when I chipped it with InMotion stage II, more power breaks the weak link so I did the SunCoast upgrade with all the goodies. Transgo, new trans pump etc. I also put a lift pump in before the stage II.
Just finished the trans and stage II so stay tuned about MPG increase. If I could just eliminate the darn shudder! It is much milder with the suncoast then with the original TC.
I would like to drive a KJ with out the F31 or F37. I know mine has the F31.
Need to get the BCM re-programmed because the battery dies after 2 weeks of sitting.
Still like the vehicle because it is very powerful for a small SUV.

I bought mine new in June 2006. Mods to date are in my sig. I have 60K on it and enjoy driving it daily. It's done everything I've asked of it from getting me to work in a tropical storm to getting me to the new years party during a blizzard. So far nothing has broken that I couldn't fix, but I dread the day I have to find somebody able to work on it.

Bought it with 17K, now have 55K. There hasn't been a problem I've had yet that this forum has helped fix! I'm in for the long haul.

Ordered my 05 Limited before production and am still glad I did! I hate the F37 castration, but once the 7/7 warranty is over there will be suncoast and inmotion to bring it back to the tire burner I bought. I got it to keep and that plan still holds.

Bought my 06 Limited 18 months ago, had 20K miles on it, now has 54K miles. No problems to report. I have the Provent, ORM until I get the SEGR installed, Fumoto valve, I use SHell Rotella Synth 4W40, have the new Jeep fuel head.

I am pondering a aux fuel pump and possible a SUncoast TC but so far the CRD runs well and occasionally tows a small travel trailer.

Love this Jeep, even more than the 98 Cherokee that younger son now drives.

We bought my wife an 05 on my join date at 24K miles. Prior service record showed F23, F37, 3 BCMs, window switches, headliner, egr valve, weatherstripping, turbo assy. We've had the fuel filter head warrantied, that's it.

My wife loves it, I only drive it to fill it with fuel and take our boat to the ramp.

Mods: in-tank lift pump, fuel cooler, ORM, magnaflow muffler, V6 airbox. Some question whether the airbox mod is really necessary, not me though after checking the stock one a couple times when she got home after driving in rain storms.

In possession, not installed: SGII, CAT filter adapter, SEGR

I bought my 06 CRD sport used with just under 10,000 miles. 2 years later and I now have 129,000 miles on the little diesel.

I can't be happier with the Jeep. I can't imagine going back to a gasser.

Bought my wife a brand new 2005 w/13 miles on the clock. Took a little coaxing to convert her over to #2, but she's an extremely happy camper. Purchased it in April 2005, traded in the 2002, and got 0.00% for 48 months thru Chrysler Financial and paid her off September 2008.

Image

We had a 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4 and it was great to go from 280--300 miles per tank to over 460--480+ per tank doing the same type driving.

I've owned Dodge RAM CTD's since 1997.....a 1998 RAM 2500 Regular Cab Sport 12V, a 2000 RAM 2500 Quad Cab Sport 24V, a 2003 RAM 2500 Quad Cab Sport HPCR, and my latest is a 2007.5 RAM 3500 Mega Cab SRW.
