The Jeep mechanic (Dealer Service Dept.) that worked on my CRD knows this forum very well and refers to it.

Read all I can find in this subject and I'm still confused
I don't know wether I need 7 v or 11v
My kj is 2004 2.8 crd
Were 11v used up to 2005 then 7v and then the modified 5v , or is mine 7 v as well???
Tempted to pull a plug too see if anything is written on it but scared to put it back in ( fragile) whilst I wait for delivery of the new ones.

Cannot help you directly but you might check links at http://colorado4wheel.com/manuals/Jeep/KJ/ . For example the 2.5/2.8L export manual may say something. Alternatively PM/email MrMopar64 and ask.

I can tell you that the 05/06 2.8L CRD came with OEM 7v ceramic glow plugs and replacement options are DCJ/OEM 5v metal (with new controller and reflash of the ECU - NOTE 7v ceramics are no longer available except occasional used ones) or Etecno1 7v metal (http://www.dieselglowplug.com/gx3123-di ... svli5qq877) which are a drop in replacement (no controller or flash needed). Prior to 05 I just don't know
