Oh yea, forgot about that trick.

Didn't find a definitive "how-to" but it did lead me to this though:

Lots of good tips and insight there.

Well it's been two years so thought I'd give an update. It irks me to read a thread with questions and never find out how the story ended...

I finally got everything back together! All I need now is a new hood and some clips for the fender flare (shipping is more than the clips cost!).

I've put a little over 30 road miles on it now with only one hiccup: yesterday while getting groceries for the mother-in-law I started smelling diesel. Pulled over to find a fine mist and a soaked head. The #2 injector return had popped loose (weird that it took that many miles).

So, so far so good! :pepper:

I got this thing from my dad because it was cheap (insurance totaled it out) and in otherwise very good condition, a diesel and 4x4 - but I never really "liked" it for some reason. But now we have bonded and I have blood, sweat & tears invested along with a bunch of money for parts.

Thanks guys for all the help and encouragement along the way. :JEEPIN:
