IAT will be higher with EGR, lower with EGR disabled - if disabled, also check shutdown: engine should stop smoothly, like a gasser (patooie!) - if engine suddenly has acquired that traditional Diesel Death Shudder, sumpin' ain't right, accordin' to Hoyle - lower IAT's + smooth shutdown = success
Rail Pressure is set via ECM-controlled Fuel Quantity Solenoid valve on the CP3, and the Fuel Pressure Solenoid valve on the Rail - max pressure is 23206psia (1600bar), according to DCJ FSM
BTW: I do hope you're onsite with your radio-linked laptop, logged onto the lostkj's CRD forum, so nothing gets lost in translation - any 'mediator' should be up close and personal with understandment of all involved technologies for best results, if you can ascertain my meaning.....................
Shutdown is smooth. There is a little different sound to the engine at idle. We are thinking that it is because of the EGR. I am going to have to play with Vag-Com and see if I can log the IAT with the new tunes vs. the stock tune. It is sure nice being able to switch them!! That Q-Loader is awesome and even a cave man could use it!
Thanks for the rail pressure. I was going to call you last night but it was 10:00 PM here and 11:00 at your house when the question came up. Needless to say, I didn't call you.
I think I understand your meaning. I just called you to make sure. I really want to figure out if the EGR is working right now. I'll let you know when I verify it for sure.
