Something to check, take a look at the back of the alternator. The trans harness can rub on the alternator brace, causing shorts and all kinds of weirdness. My brace even had a rough casting that made a perfect knife to stab the harness. A little work with a grinder, some shrink tubing or liquid electrical tape fixes it.

The smaller side has no plug going into it and is all corroded.
That's normal, as far as I know.

Im thinking something could get inside the box through that open plug.

I think the connector is molded around the pins so that shouldn't be an issue.

OK.....so i put it all back together and took it for a ride just now and it is still shifting hard. I guess i should try checking the BCM next?

Today i took care of the P0340 code by replacing the CPS........My vehicle is code free (except for MAF P0102)........Of course My transmission is still shifting hard......I hope i get lucky with a BCM from ebay and that hopefully will fix it. Im thinking that it could be the BCM because I have trouble with my electric mirrors, my radio is fried and my Fuel Guage is always on Empty. What do you think?

Thanks
Bob
